History
Ever wonder where your weed originated? The founder of CORA Genetics might’ve played a part in how your favorite cultivar came to be.
Hardy is a pioneer in developing unique cultivars of hemp and cannabis for patients throughout California and clients around the globe. Known as the “Behind the Curtain Breeder,” Hardy has traveled the world for over three decades discovering, collecting, and preserving rare landrace cultivars and heirloom germplasm.
Using organic and regenerative farming practices, CORA develops stable medicinal and recreational cultivars based on cannabinoid profiles, focusing on improving yield, vigor, disease resistance, and drought tolerance. CORA genetics produces regular and feminized seeds.

“One of the most inspiring components is the breeders culture of sharing seeds and collaboration, all united by the greater good of the plant.”

Prior to starting CORA genetics, CORA founded, owned and operated a successful nonprofit Zen Care Collective. one of the first licensed cultivation facilities in the U.S. under the Mendocino pilot 9.31 program, allowing the cultivation of 99 plants under a 10,000 sqft canopy, on 160 acres in the Highlands of Anderson Valley, and creating the first medicinal database for the emerging California market in 2010, providing medicinal cannabis to over 6000 patients throughout the state of California.
(Suppling germplasm since 1987 for the international free market, that is the baseline for numerous of the current “Strains” that have had their names changed, over, over, bend over, again and again, to protect the biopiracy of the ignorant.)
Designed and developed one of the first Federal “Super Site” facilities in the Unitied Sates of America, IESO in Illinois, based on guidelines that the U.S government will adopt, once federal prohibition will be lifted.
CORA has been an integral part in obtaining cultivation production licenses in the US and internationally for numerous entities.
CORA has applied background in cannabis breeding, collecting genetics all over the world. Traveling to diverse locations discovering rare landrace cultivars, and collecting data.
Other business ventures, include Architectural Design of Newark Museum, with Michael Graves Architect, along with Humboldt County Jail and Correctional facility.
Getting busted for one of the largest and most sophisticated grow operations in U.S. history. Then Attending historical California Prisons, San Quentin, New & Old Folsom.
Collecting primitive art and documenting primitive artifacts throughout Southeast Asia; Bali, Java, Sulawesi, Borneo, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Biak, Molucca islands, and one of the first explores into Iran Jaya on expeditions into Korowai & Kombai tribes documenting primitive cultures along with National Geographic in 1997.
Europe, Africa, Jamaica.
In each of these ventures, CORA has created an in-house genetics library of numerous rare plant species of flora and fauna. For international markets.
A pioneer in the development of CBD rich and other minor cannabinoid profiles. Developed some of the first US federal compliant, and international cultivars of <0.3% THC and >20% CBD, along with all other minor cannabinoids for Type 1,2,3,4, cannabis and hemp plants, encompassing the full entourage.
Has consulted with DARPA on plant sentinel program, developing cultivars for The Advanced Plant Technologies (APT) program seeks to develop plants capable of serving as next-generation, persistent, ground-based sensor technologies to protect deployed troops and the homeland by detecting and reporting on chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and
\increasing their potential for wide distribution, while reducing risks associated with deployment and maintenance of traditional sensors. These technologies could also potentially support humanitarian operations by, for example, detecting unexploded ordnance in post-conflict settings.
DARPA’s technical vision for APT is to harness plants’ innate mechanisms for sensing and responding to environmental stimuli, extend that sensitivity to a range of signals of interest, and engineer discreet response mechanisms that can be remotely monitored using existing ground-, air-, or space-based hardware. To succeed, APT must ensure that modified plants are safe, robust, and self-sustaining in their environments. The program hinges on the advancement of technologies for performing multiple, complex modulations to plants, without sacrificing their environmental fitness.
Although APT pursues technology for eventual deployment, the initial research is conducted entirely in contained facilities. If the research is successful, later-phase field trials would take place under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service following all standard protocols for plant biosafety.

CORA is pioneer who has developed numerous cultivars as the “ Behind the curtain Breeder “for over 3 decades, Traveling the world during prohibition years collecting and preserving landrace and heirloom germplasm. Founding and operating one of the first cultivation licenses in California, and designing developing numerous licensed unlicensed an`d underground facilities in the united states and internationally, developing cultivars and brands in the ever changing medical and recreational hemp and cannabis industry.

CORA has developed many of the numerous cultivars for clients across industries
