Summer Update 2025

Summer looks good on Heartrock Mountain Farm!

The berries are ripe and plentiful and the plums are coming in. We just did our final selection of males that we will be flowering out and collecting pollen from. It feels good to get the final garden planted.

I always try to keep less males, but I usually end up with over 50. With our pollen collection boxes harvesting less than 100 males is no problem. Our cultivation sections have been planted and we are working on the outer layer of support as the plants will be transitioning into flower soon. We have a summer intern which has been nice, but the pace of farm work has slowed now that the spring rush has ended.

We have bred up several auto-flowers of which we were low on seeds. Using females from our award winning Tahoe Chem that we previously bred into an auto-flower, we’ve made some exciting new auto hybrids. It’s been a couple years since we made some new autos and I’m excited for these new lines:

  • Bubblegum OG
  • Blueberry OG
  • Blueberry Z OG
  • Afghan skunk OG

Stay tuned for some limited releases. We have been experiencing a colder than usual July in Mendocino County, coldest july in decades, which is so much nicer than the hottest July on record. We have a full nursery planted this year with lots of exciting cultivars, some land race Afghans and Mexican and South American sativas, plus lots of our hybrids and worked lines. September is going to be a terp tour to remember.
