Animal Cookies x Hindu
I got the Animal around the end of 2009 if I remember correctly. When I finally had bags of the flower, the pounds looked like half pounds because it was so heavy with resin. In my opinion it’s the best of the Cookies clones. The high for me isn’t dull or weak and the smoke is very thick. When we first saw Cookies it reminded us of Hindu or Bubba but different in some ways, so I thought Animal Hindu should be good. When I harvested the plants I wasn’t super impressed because I’ve made lots of cookie crosses but once the plants dried I changed my tune. The combination brought out some real standout flavors that I chase in my breeding, kind of coffee smells etc but great versions of them. In my testing there was some light intersex on about 10 percent of the plants, manageable but present. A tester who cloned his plants reported that his intersex plants showed no intersex on clones grown from them. Most of them are solid though and well worth the hassle in my opinion if you enjoy the same “coffee?” flavors I do. The resin is thick on most and the plants and flowers are beautiful. They’re a great representation of the first Cookie type that made it popular and also the old Humboldt/Mendo afghan types from the 80s and 90s. 60 to 70 days flowering
