Mandarin has been my favorite orange citrus variety for the past decade. She is true to the name with aroma of a mandarin peel with added orange candy gas on the flavor. Those who have been lucky enough to try simplee adam’s “mandarin” donuts knows how perfectly these aromas and flavors express in the hash. Her flowers are beautiful and tasty and she dumps gorgeous sandy hash. She is also fantastic for breeding. the aroma, structure, vigor and qualities cary over well in almost every pairing.
The cross with 2xog zdog brings added candy gas as well as vigor in growth. Fast growing, well structured and gorgeous and relatively early finishing. Consistently hashy flowers with orange gas and candy aromas on sturdy, well structured and vigorous plants.
Some variation in flower structure and color.
This year, they proved themselves to be a dream for hash makes and farmers. Mixed seed plant batches yielded 5.5% to hash and converted to a stunning 4.2% to rosin. The melt is mandarin gas and the rosin is mandarin and z candy forward.
