Black Barqs
Black Barqs” is a unique hybrid blending female plants from a “95’ White Widow/CocolaRootbeer bc2” line with males from my “Black Oak” line. The combination results in some truly unique and high grade plants. I was able to do a deeper dive into this hybrid last summer (2025) and got to sift through and explore a few dozen females. I found there to be 3 main phenotypical expressions; a taller, more “Cococola Rootbeer” dominant plant that has high potency, exceptional color and a very strong cream soda aroma and taste. The second pheno is “Black Oak” dominant and is a similar expression but with more of a sweet cola aroma, and a mid size sturdy frame. The third pheno is “White Widow” dominant, it has slightly less bag appeal than the others, but it is extremely potent, with some of the South American genetics coming through from that side of the DNA.
“Black Barqs” is proven to perform excellent inside and out. I have not had any reports of intersex traits on this line and I have seen none myself either. With positive grow reports from outdoor gardens in Northern California to indoor setups on the East coast, the ‘Black Barqs’ provides a unique and satisfying growing and consuming experience. “
